GYPSUM AND GALVALUM FOR SPACE PARTITION

The need for partitions to create partitions between spaces in every commercial and residential building is quite high in the current era of multi-storey buildings. The proper use of building materials is very important in terms of cost efficiency and effectiveness of such workmanship. The use of Gypsum and Galvalum materials for partition frames between spaces is very popular today. We will review some of the advantages of using Gypsum and Galvalum for Partition between spaces:

1. Gypsum

Gypsum boards have many thicknesses and features and prices that vary according to needs. The advantages of using the Gypsum Board are as follows:

a.         Lightweight and Flexible

Gypsum 2-face boards have a relatively lighter weight than steel or concrete structures. Gypsum boards also have high enough flexibility to be shaped according to existing needs.

b.         Easy and fast installation process

Because Gypsum is a fairly light and malleable material, the Gypsum installation process is relatively short. The Gypsum board is simply mounted standing and diskrup to the frame. After that is done finishing to smooth the surface before painting the partition.

c. Cost-effective

Gypsum material is a relatively inexpensive material compared to other materials such as triplets, bricks, concrete and cement boards. Gypsum boards also have some thickness and size that are very easy to find in your nearest city.

2. Galvalum

Galvalum used to form bulkhead partition frames between spaces is called Metal Stud and Metal Track. Galvalum frame has a thickness and length that vary according to needs. The shape of Metal Stud resembles a Lightweight Steel frame and has a strong Zincalume coating and does not rust easily.

The use of Galvalum Frame is very flexible and can be applied in conjunction with Gypsum Board, triplek, Cement Board, and others.

The use of Metal Stud is usually paired with another galvalume frame called the U-Runner.

Metal Stud and Runner have the following advantages:

a. Rust Resistant, Fire and Termites

Metal Stud and Runner is a galvalum frame that contains 55% aluminum, 42-44% zinc and 1-5% silicon. The coating makes the galvalume frame has anti-rust resistance for up to 20 years. Galvalum frame is also a material that is anti-termite and has fire resistance for up to 2 hours. This material becomes very desirable when compared to wooden frames that are very susceptible to termites and flammable.

b.         Easy, fast and cost-effective installation process

Metal Stud and Runner are relatively lightweight materials compared to other building materials. This leads to a fairly simple installation process with a screw system and the work process is very short and fast. Galvalum frame price is also more efficient compared to other materials such as wooden frames.

c. Light but Strong

Metal Stud and runner is a lightweight Galvalum frame but remains strong and has an appeal of up to 550 Mpa. With this power, metal stud as a partition frame is able to support the gypsum.
